Brave soldier
It is on the field of battle
Where you feel you belong
With the others you fight
To protect what is just
Your body bruised & broken
Your spirit down & trodden
You look around & its destruction you see
Your head hangs heavy
Even though you have the victory
You ready your guns
For the next fight
You steel you nerves
You lift your prayers
In hopes they are heard
You fight for your country
They have taught you well
You are a United States Marine
